RSSB JE Recruitment 2026: Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), Jaipur has released the official notification for Junior Engineer Combined Direct Recruitment 2026 for various departments of the Rajasthan Government. There are 874 vacancies available for Junior Engineer posts in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. Candidates with Degree/Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 16 August 2026 to 14 September 2026 (11:59 PM). The detailed eligibility and selection process for RSSB JE Recruitment 2026 are explained below.

• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree Holder
• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Diploma Holder
• Junior Engineer (Mechanical/ Electrical) – Diploma Holder

Job Location: Rajasthan

Salary:

• Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-10 as prescribed by the Rajasthan Government. During the two-year probation period, candidates will receive fixed remuneration as per applicable State Government rules. After successful completion of probation and other required conditions, the regular pay scale and applicable allowances will be admissible as per rules.

Qualification & Experience:

Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree Holder:

• Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government. Candidates should also have practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan culture.
  Experience: Not required.

Junior Engineer (Civil) – Diploma Holder:

• Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution or a Civil Engineering Diploma recognized by the Institution of Engineers for exemption from examination. Practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan culture is also required.
  Experience: Not required.

Junior Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Diploma Holder:

• Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent diploma recognized by the Institution of Engineers for examination exemption. Practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan culture is required.
  Experience: Not required.

• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree Holder – 351 Posts
• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Diploma Holder – 42 Posts

Water Resources Department:

• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree Holder – 72 Posts
• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Diploma Holder – 179 Posts

Public Health Engineering Department:

• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Degree Holder – 47 Posts
• Junior Engineer (Civil) – Diploma Holder – 151 Posts
• Junior Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Diploma Holder – 32 Posts

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2027):

• Minimum Age – 18 Years
• Maximum Age – 40 Years
• Candidates must have attained 18 years and must not have attained 40 years of age as on 01 January 2027. An additional one-year relaxation in the maximum age has been provided in this recruitment due to the recruitment circumstances mentioned in the notification.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Male candidates of Rajasthan – 5 Years
• General Category Female candidates – 5 Years
• SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Female candidates of Rajasthan – 10 Years
• PwBD candidates – 5 Years in addition to applicable category-wise relaxation
• Other special categories such as ex-servicemen, widows and divorced women will receive relaxation as per applicable Rajasthan Government rules.

Selection Process:

• Written Examination
• Document Verification
• Medical/Eligibility Verification as applicable
• The recruitment examination is proposed to be conducted in February 2027 through CBT/TBT/Online/OMR mode, and the Board reserves the right to change the examination date or mode.

For Junior Engineer (Civil) Degree and Diploma posts, the examination will carry 120 marks and will have a duration of 2 hours. The paper will include Rajasthan General Knowledge and the relevant Civil Engineering subject. There will be 1/3 negative marking for each incorrect answer, and the minimum qualifying marks are 40%.

Application Fee:

• General Category and Creamy Layer OBC/MBC candidates – ₹600/-
• Rajasthan Non-Creamy Layer OBC/MBC, EWS and SC/ST candidates – ₹400/-
• PwD Candidates – ₹400/-

The above amount is the One Time Registration (OTR) fee. Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee earlier are not required to pay it again.

How to Apply:

Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through the Rajasthan SSO Portal, access the Recruitment Portal, complete the OTR and application process, enter the required details, upload the required documents and submit the application before 14 September 2026. Candidates should carefully fill their department preference because the department allocation will be based on merit-cum-priority.
