Qualification:
Junior Engineer (Civil):
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute, as prescribed for the concerned department.
Junior Engineer (Electrical):
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute, as prescribed for the concerned department.
Junior Engineer (Mechanical):
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute, as prescribed for the concerned department.
Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical):
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, as prescribed for the concerned department.
Experience: Experience is required for certain posts, including applicable BRO/MES posts.
Junior Engineer (Telecom):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology in relevant disciplines such as Electrical, Electronics, Electrical Communication, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology or related disciplines, as prescribed.
Scientific Assistant – India Meteorological Department (IMD):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics as one of the subjects OR Bachelor’s Degree in relevant disciplines such as Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronics, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation, Information Technology, Telecommunication Engineering or Communication Engineering.

- Generally up to 30 years
- Certain posts: up to 32 years
- Age will be calculated as on 01 August 2026.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
