RCF Kapurthala Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, Ministry of Railways, Government of India has released an official notification for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. There are 734 vacancies available across various ITI trades. Candidates with 10th Pass and ITI qualifications are eligible to apply. Position: Act Apprentice

Job Location: Kapurthala, Punjab

Salary:

• Stipend will be paid as per the rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time. No hostel accommodation will be provided to selected candidates.

Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed 10th Class or its equivalent under the 10+2 examination system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board. Candidates must also possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
• Eligible Trades: Fitter, Welder (G&E), Machinist, Painter (G), Carpenter, Electrician, AC & Refrigeration Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Electronic Mechanic.

Note: No prior work experience is required. The engagement is for training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.

Age Limit (as on 05 September 2026):

• Minimum Age – 15 Years
• Maximum Age – 24 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST candidates – 5 Years upper age relaxation
• OBC candidates – 3 Years upper age relaxation
• PwD candidates – 10 Years upper age relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen candidates – Additional age relaxation as per the notification.

Selection Process:

• Merit List based on 10th Class marks and ITI marks
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination
• The merit list will be prepared by taking the simple average of the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI. In case of candidates having equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred.

• General/OBC candidates – ₹100/-
• SC/ST/PwD/Women candidates – No Application Fee
• The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through the online mode.
