AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Airports Authority of India (AAI), Northern Region has released an official notification for the engagement of Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. There are 205 vacancies available across various Engineering, Graduate and ITI trades. Candidates with Degree, Diploma and ITI qualifications are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the NATS/NAPS portals on or before 16 September 2026. The detailed eligibility and selection process for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 are explained below.

Positions: Graduate Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice, ITI Trade Apprentice

Job Location: Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand

Stipend:

• Graduate Apprentice: ₹15,000/- per month
• Diploma Apprentice: ₹12,000/- per month
• ITI Trade Apprentice: ₹9,600/- per month
• The stipend includes the respective AAI and Government shares through DBT, as mentioned in the notification.

Qualification:

• Graduate Apprentice: Full-time regular 4-year Degree in the relevant discipline recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
• Diploma Apprentice: Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline recognized by AICTE, Government of India.
• ITI Trade Apprentice: ITI/NCVT certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.

Eligible Disciplines/Trades: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science/IT, Aeronautical/Aerospace/Aircraft Maintenance, Architecture, Mechanical/Automobile, BCA/B.Com, COPA/Steno, Computer Hardware & Networking.

Age Limit (as on 16 September 2026):

• Minimum Age – 18 Years
• Maximum Age – 26 Years
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other eligible categories will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Only Indian Nationals domiciled in Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are eligible.
• Candidates who passed their Degree/Diploma in 2024 or after 2024 are eligible.
• Candidates who have already completed, terminated midway or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training at the same qualification level are not eligible. Candidates having one year or more of apprenticeship training/job experience after obtaining the essential qualification are also not eligible.

Selection Process:

• Merit List based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination
• Document Verification/Interview
• Medical Fitness
• The provisional selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of equal marks, date of birth and thereafter date of passing will be considered for seniority. Final selection will be subject to document verification and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate.

Training Duration:

• 1 Year (12 Months) from the commencement of the apprenticeship contract.
