CSIR NIO Apprentice Recruitment 2026

CSIR NIO Apprentice Recruitment 2026: CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO), Regional Centre Visakhapatnam has released an official notification for the engagement of Technician (Diploma) Apprentice and Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentice trainees under the Apprentices Act, 1961. There are 15 vacancies available for these apprenticeship posts. Candidates with Diploma, B.A., B.B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. and other relevant Science degrees are eligible to apply. Positions:

• Technician (Diploma) Apprentice
• Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentice

Job Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

Stipend:

• Graduate Apprentice – ₹12,300/- per month
• Technician Apprentice – ₹10,900/- per month

Qualification & Experience:

Technician Apprentice:

• Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering/Information Technology.

Graduate Apprentice (Oceanography):

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Geology, Computer Science or any equivalent Science discipline.

Graduate Apprentice (Office Administration):

• Qualification: B.A., B.B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. or any equivalent Bachelor’s Degree.

Note: Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible. Candidates with one year or more work experience or who have already undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible.

Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering) – 12 Posts

• Office Administration / Finance & Accounts / Stores & Purchase / Human Resource Management – 4 Posts

Age Limit:

Technician Apprentice:

• Minimum Age – 18 Years
• Maximum Age – 24 Years

Graduate Apprentice:

• Minimum Age – 21 Years
• Maximum Age – 26 Years

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.
