East Coast Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026: East Coast Railway (ECoR), Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Bhubaneswar has released an official notification for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. There are 1,599 vacancies available across various ITI trades in different Divisions and Workshops of East Coast Railway. Candidates with 10th Pass and ITI qualifications are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 26 August 2026 to 15 September 2026 (5:00 PM). Position: Act Apprentice

Job Location: Odisha, East Coast Railway Divisions and Workshops

Stipend:

• Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend at the prescribed rate during the apprenticeship training period as per the applicable rules and directives issued by the Railway Board.

Qualification & Experience:

Candidates must have passed 10th Class/Matriculation under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board. Candidates must also possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade affiliated to NCVT/SCVT.

Eligible Trades: Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, Mechanic Diesel, Secretarial Assistant (Stenography), Black Smith, Driller, Bridge Erector, Sheet Metal Worker, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman, Mechanic Refrigeration & AC, Plumber, Draftsman (Civil), Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Laboratory Technician (Pathology), Sarang, Grinder, Mason, Draftsman (Mechanic).

Note: No prior work experience is required for apprenticeship engagement. Engineering graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible under this particular notification.

• Minimum Age – 15 Years
• Maximum Age – 24 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST candidates – 5 Years
• OBC candidates – 3 Years
• PwBD candidates – 10 Years
• Ex-Servicemen – Additional relaxation as per the notification.

Selection Process:

• Merit List based on 10th Class marks
• Document Verification
• Medical Fitness Certificate
• There will be no Written Examination or Viva/Interview. The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation. In case of equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred.

• General/OBC/EWS Candidates – ₹100/-
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women Candidates – No Application Fee
• The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online through the integrated payment gateway.
