IREL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: IREL (India) Limited, Manavalakurichi, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu has released an official notification for the engagement of Graduate Apprentice, Technician Apprentice and Trade Apprentice under the Apprentices Act, 1961. There are 39 vacancies available across various Engineering, Diploma and ITI trades. Candidates with B.E., Diploma and ITI qualifications are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the respective apprenticeship portals and submit the prescribed application form on or before 31 August 2026. Job Location: Manavalakurichi, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu

Stipend:

• Stipend will be paid as per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and Government rules notified from time to time. IREL will not provide any other benefit or financial assistance during the apprenticeship training.

Qualification:

• Graduate Apprentice: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Trade Apprentice: ITI in Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Welder, Electronic/ Instrument Mechanic, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, Turner, Plumber/ Fitter, Carpenter, PASAA.

Note: Qualifications obtained through Distance Learning, Part-Time or Correspondence Mode are not considered. Candidates possessing higher/professional qualifications such as M.E./M.Tech, MCA, MBA, CA/ICWA, Ph.D., LLB etc. are not eligible for the advertised seats.

Experience: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any Government, Public Sector or Private Industrial Organization are not eligible. Candidates should not have undergone apprenticeship training earlier in IREL or any other organization.

Age Limit (as on 31 August 2026):

• Minimum Age – 18 Years
• Maximum Age – 25 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST candidates – 5 Years upper age relaxation
• OBC (NCL) candidates – 3 Years upper age relaxation
• PwD candidates – 10 Years upper age relaxation.

Selection Process:

• Merit List based on marks obtained in the prescribed educational qualification
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination
• The final selection will be subject to the candidate being declared “Medically Fit” by the IREL Medical Officer. In case of equal marks, seniority in date of birth will be considered.
