NFR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released a centralized notification for the engagement of Act Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2025-26 & 2026-27. There are 6,777 vacancies available in various railway divisions and workshops. Candidates with the qualification of 10th Pass + ITI are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 20 July 2026 to 19 August 2026. Position: Act Apprentice

Job Location: Assam, Bihar, West Bengal

Stipend:

• ₹9,600 per month (Minimum stipend for NTC/STC holders)
• ₹10,560 per month (Second Year, where applicable)
• ₹11,040 per month (Third Year, where applicable)
• Stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act and Railway rules.

Qualification:

Act Apprentice:

• 10th Pass (Matriculation) with minimum 50% aggregate marks
• ITI in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.

Note:

• 50% marks in Matriculation are not required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
• Candidates must possess the ITI certificate on the date of notification.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age – 15 Years
• Maximum Age – 24 Years

Age relaxation:

• SC/ST – 5 Years
• OBC – 3 Years
• PwBD – 10 Years
• Ex-Servicemen – As per Government rules.

Selection Process:

• Merit List (Based on Matriculation & ITI Marks)
• Document Verification
• Medical Fitness Certificate
• No Written Examination or Interview.
